What Are Spanish Bites?

Hola Mama & Popa!

Spanish Bites born in 2023 after a semester of Home  Schooling my kids. A main ingredient in their education was  missing and a mix of a need to keep alive that part of my Spanish culture became unavoidable.
In the search of a method to help my 4 and 7 year old love to incorporate Spanish and stimulate their curiosity the customs we began to cook main dishes from my country Colombia following with Argentina, Spain, Venezuelan and Mexican cuisine. Adding vocabulary on the go BITE by BITE, in weeks our conversations around meals and play time had a rich vocabulary in Spanish.

I believe that along with conjugating verbs and memorizing vocabulary, kids gain a truly holistic understanding of a language when they are also introduced to its customs, cultures and history.So is with great responsibility and honor I would like to open the doors for your kids to a method they will adore and you will enjoy..COOK-EXPLORE-BUILD in Spanish!

Common Questions

Are you a part of the LEARNS program?

Yes, I am a registered LEARNS provider and you can pay for my classes using LEARNS money provided by the STATE. Visit their website for more information or reach out to me if you have any specific questions.

How long is each class?

Each class is 1.5 hours and engages students BITE by BITE in Spanish conversations and hands-on cultural activities through weekly themes.

What ages?

Spanish classes are offered once or twice weekly for all ages divided in groups.

Elementary-aged students (K-5)

  • 5-8 year olds
  • 9-11 year olds
  • 12-15 year olds

What format is the class taught?

Taught in a full Spanish immersion format, these classes are the perfect way for ether kids that will begin Spanish for first time or continue their Spanish learning.

Each week, a country / theme will guide lessons. Your child will learn through activities such as:

  • COOKING
  • Kid prenuer
  • Stories
  • Spanish songs
  • Games
  • Cultural Activities
  • Written worksheets

How does it work?

With our hands-on learning environment program, all students can join in the fun, regardless of their level of Spanish. Because it is an immersion class, our lead teacher  dramatize and "act out" what they are saying utilizing visual materials as cues. This ensures that students understand without translating.
